Interview with the Kate Monster

April 21st, 2006

Kate interviewed me this afternoon for her documentary class. I agreed to let her interview me because I though it would be good for her to get a chance to ask me some questions she didn’t have answers to, and I would get another chance to give her the answers she wanted.

She started by asking me some random questions like who my mentor was, and what my favorite color was, the began by asking me about religion, and what my take on it was. I explained how I was raised, and my beliefs about God and religion.

Next she asked me about my relationships. I started with my first crush, a girl named Bianca in kindergarten, and detailed my relationships all the way through college. Then I got to Kate. I was finally able to tell her completely and truthfully how I felt about her, and what happened with me that made me end our relationship. It felt good to finally have an answer for her, and I’m glad I was able to tell her that I loved her, because I might not have had another chance to.

When I was done talking we both had tears in our eyes, and we moved on to the final topic, then I talked a little about random things such as politics and roommates.

All in felt really good to really talk to Kate and get some things off my chest. I don’t know what the future holds for us, but at least we know where each other stands.
