Disappointment on N St.

This morning we looked at a really nice house on N st.
It was the perfect size for the four of us, in a nice neighborhood not too far from downtown and campus. The landlord told us no one had applied yet, and to get the applications in by the end of the day to be sure we got it.
So we all filled our applications out quickly, and I went back to turn them in a couple hours later, only to find out that the house was already taken! Apparently, the landlord wasn’t working yesterday so someone else had turned an application in and they had given them the house, even though we had an appointment for about a week to see this house. I was so disappointed, it was the perfect house.
So we are still homeless for next year. Stay tuned.
