Waiting…
June 17th, 2007
For those of you who don’t know, I had an interview in London on Thursday for a position as a php developer at an awesome social music site. I will have a post about the interview in the near future (probably on Monday).
I am currently waiting to hear whether they offer me the position or not. It’s weird waiting to know how the rest of your life is going to unfold, being so close to knowing, but only being able to guess.
Getting this job isn’t going to dictate what happens for the rest of my life, but it’s such a great opportunity, that it would be hard to turn it down, and in a sense will dramatically effect how the rest of my life plays out. I may end up living there permanently, getting a place of my own, meeting someone special, and settling down.
On the other hand, I could work there for a year or two, feel like I’ve had enough, and move back home again. In which case, this job would only delay what my initial plan was for this trip.
It’s impossible to know whats going to happen. We can reason out what is likely to happen based on what we know, but there is alway something that we didn’t count on.
